After starting the season with three consecutive road games, the Ragsdale Tigers welcomed the Western Guilford Hornets for the final game of a three game homestand. Last week the Tigers and Hornets played a back-and-forth game, with Ragsdale pulling out the victory on the road by three points. Tonight was a similar story at Ragsdale, with the Tigers hitting key free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

Western led by one point after the opening frame. However, the Tigers were boosted by some inspired play off the bench, led by Shawn Stringfellow and Grant Ali, in the 2nd quarter to grab the halftime lead. The 3rd quarter was dead even, with TJ Parker getting 10 out of the Tigers 13 points in the 3rd. Austin Love and Brian Free hit crucial free throws late in the 4th quarter, when the Hornets cut the Tigers lead to only two points, to help seal the four point victory for Ragsdale.

Ce’Darius Dockery led the Hornets with a game high 16 points on the night.
