Ragsdale Indoor Track Program off to a Very Strong Start:Track Athlete Chesney Ward goes from Track to the All-State Orchestra Pit

TIGER TRACK PROGRAM EXCELLING

Congratulations to Coach Anne Popek and The Ragsdale Tiger Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track teams on their recent performance at the JDL Fast Track in Winston Salem. The Tigers defeated 14 teams! The girls’ 4 x 4 and 4 x 2 qualified for the State Championships, which will be held in Winston Salem in February. Mark Bailey, Bryce Craig, Cece Ellison, and Jewel Pratt all qualified for the State Championships in the shot putt; Charla Ward is currently ranked #1 in the nation in the 300 meter dash; Joe Popek is currently ranked #3 in nation in pole vault. Bojo Jada has qualified for the State Championships in the high jump, and Alex Apple has qualified for the State Championships for 1600 meter run. Braxton Boykin and Thomas Neale qualified for the State Championships in the 500 meter run. Great job to Coach Popek and our Indoor Track team members!

Ragsdale Tiger Track Athlete Displaying Multitude of Talent

Ragsdale Tiger standout Track Athlete Chesney Ward recently represented RHS at the All-State Orchestra Clinic in Winston Salem. This incredible orchestra performed in the Stevens Center as the final performance of the day for the “State Music Educator’s Conference” . Chesney is currently ranked among the best in the state. Thank you Chesney for being a great ambassador for the Diamond R, Ragsdale Athletics, and the entire Tiger Nation! Congratulations, Chesney Ward!
