More on Ty Graves(Page HS/Montverde Academy) to Boston College and to the ACC

Boston College coach Jim Christian is looking to make his BC Eagles faster and wants to establish an up tempo style of play, so point guard Ty Graves looks to be his man and the word has been verified today coming out of Florida and Montverde Academy, where Graves now plays after spending his first two high school season with the Page Pirates and Coach James Abell…We saw Ty Graves all the way back in his days at Mendenhall Middle School and still remember a few games where one arm was off/messed up by injury, so he used his off-hand for shooting and still did a credible job in leading his Mustangs to a victory on the Middle School level..Graves impressed as soon as he joined the Varsity team at Page, as a freshman and now it looks like the sure thing for Graves, when his days at Montverde are done, is on to Boston and for TG it will be BC and the ACC…..

The official word from Montverde Academy on behalf of point guard Ty Graves:(by way of www.scouthoops.scout.com)
*****Word from Brian Snow*****

“Ty Graves has committed to Boston College,” said Montverde Academy assistant coach Rae Miller.

The 5-foot-11 Graves plays on the AAU circuit with the talent laden Karolina Diamonds program, and garnered offers from Virginia, Clemson, Rutgers, and Virginia Tech along with Boston College.

He is someone who is considered a three-star prospect and a solid floor general. Graves is a native of the state of North Carolina, and is looking to make a national impact this season at Montverde (Fla.) Academy which is the defending national champion.

This is the first pledge for Boston College in the class of 2016, and it gives them the type of point guard that they are looking for as the transition to Christian’s style of play is really beginning.

  1. Hate he left Page, but looks like the national exposure has him looking at playing and putting Greensboro and NC in a positive light. Wish he would have been recruited by a NC school, but hey, it’s still the ACC, so we gotta be happy about that..>GOOD LUCK TO HIM! Make us proud!
