ELON, N.C. – Elon men’s golf coach Don Hill announced today, Dec. 18, a schedule of six spring tournaments for his Phoenix squad. The maroon and gold will play three events in North Carolina, including its first foray into the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championship event in April.

The Phoenix will open its spring season at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate hosted by Francis Marion University in Hilton Head, S.C. The three-round tournament will begin with 36 holes on February 23 and conclude with the final 18 holes the following day.

Elon’s next event will be the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by USC Aiken at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C. on March 9-10. Later in the month, the Phoenix will head to the North Carolina shore for the Seahawk Intercollegiate hosted by fellow CAA school UNC Wilmington. That tournament will be contested March 29-30 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington.

The month of April will witness three Elon golf events. On April 6-7, the maroon and gold will travel to the Gaston Country Club in Gastonia, N.C., for the Gary Koch Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky. That will be followed by the Greenbrier Intercollegiate co-hosted by Marshall University and Bowling Green University in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., on April 13-14.

Elon will wrap up the month of April at its first-ever CAA Championship. That event will be held April 24-26, at the St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C.
