Elon Women¹s Golf to Play Five Spring Tournaments

ELON, N.C. – The Elon women’s golf team will participate in five tournaments during the spring portion of its schedule announced Phoenix head coach Chris Dockrill on Dec. 18. The ladies will look to build off of a strong fall season in which the squad captured two team titles in its four events.

The spring season will begin on Friday, Feb. 13 at the FGCU Invite hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University in Esters, Fla. The three-round tournament will run through Sunday, Feb. 15 at the Stoneybrook Country Club.

March will begin with the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic hosted by Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) rival College of Charleston. The three-round event will be played at the Kiawah Resort – Osprey Point on Kiawah Island, S.C. from March 1-3.

Elon will return to Florida for the MSU Ocala Spring Invitational hosted by Morehead State University in Ocala, Fla., from March 22-24. Between March 29-31, the Phoenix will travel to Stockbridge, Ga., for the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State University.

The maroon and gold will participate in its first CAA Championship event April 17-19 at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C., to wrap up its spring slate.
