Roxboro, NC – –

Tonight the Ragsdale Tigers made the trek to Roxboro, NC to face the Rockets of Person High School. Facing some adversity coming into the game with an injury to leading scorer TJ Parker, the Tigers were up to the task of matching the Rockets intensity and their hostile crowd. The two teams would wind up dead even in every quarter except the 3rd, where the visiting Tigers would gain a 4 point advantage going into the final frame. The last quarter was much the same as the first three, with both teams taking turns having the lead and then giving it back. Down the stretch, the difference was the Tigers’ ability to get key defensive stops, as well as going 9-11 from the free throw line.

Ragsdale was led by Sophomores Kyle Watkins (16 points) and Greyson Collins (14 points) and Senior Tevin Quick (11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals). DJ Jeffers led the Rockets with 12 points on the night.

Ragsdale improves to 8 – 2 overall. Person drops to 4 – 5 overall.
