Men’s Basketball (9-5, 1-0 CAA)
Elon at Towson, Monday, Jan. 5, at 7 p.m., Towson, Md.
Elon vs. William & Mary, Thursday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m., Alumni Gym
Elon vs. Hofstra, Saturday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m., Alumni Gym

• Elon returns to action tonight at 7 p.m. in Towson, Md., versus Towson.
• The Phoenix earned a 77-67 win over Drexel in its CAA opener on Jan. 3 behind a season-best 32 points from rookie Elijah Bryant.
• Elon is 1-0 in conference play for the third time in four years. Elon is off to its best start through 14 games since the 1996-97 season.

Women’s Basketball (8-4, 1-0 CAA)
Elon vs. Drexel, Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m., Alumni Gym
Elon at William & Mary, Friday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m., Williamsburg, Va.
Elon vs. College of Charleston, Sunday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m., Alumni Gym

• Elon marked its Colonial Athletic Association debut with a 60-50 win at Delaware on Sunday to win its third straight game after victories over Furman and Lenoir-Rhyne last week.
• The Phoenix scored its highest point total of the season in its 81-71 victory over Furman, saw six players score in double figures and turned the ball over a season-low nine times.
• Rookie Malaya Johnson continued her stellar play averaging 13.7 points and seven boards per game and shooting 65 percent from the field. Johnson scored at least 10 points in all three games, including 18 points against Lenoir-Rhyne, and also tallied six blocks, six steals and three assists on the week.

Women’s Tennis
Elon at North Carolina, Friday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m., Chapel Hill, N.C.

• Coming off the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance last season, the Phoenix opens its 2015 season on Friday in Chapel Hill against UNC.
• Elon is led by the senior class of Barbora Lazarova and Maria Camara Ruiz.
• The team’s first home match is slated for Jan. 20 against South Carolina State.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at Wake Forest Invitational, Saturday, Jan. 10, Winston-Salem, N.C.

• The Elon women’s track and field team opens the New Year at the Wake Forest Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 10, inside the JDL Fast Track Complex.
• This is the Phoenix’s second indoor meet of the year after previously opening its indoor season on Nov. 22 at the JDL All-Comers meet.
• Junior Sydney Griffin won the 60-meter hurdles at the JDL All-Comers meet and is the lone returning indoor conference champion for the maroon and gold. Last year, Griffin captured the Southern Conference 60-meters hurdles crown.
• This weekend is one of 10 indoor competitions that the Phoenix will compete in its schedule this season. It is also one of four times that Elon will race at the JDL Fast Track complex as the Phoenix returns to the facility on Jan. 30-31 for the Hilton Garden Invitational and again for the High Point Team Challenge on Feb. 12.
