Graham Sporting Goods High School Basketball Tonight for 1/9/15 and a look back at last night

*****Full list of tonight’s games right down below our opening commentary/report/review…..*****

Lots of games with this being the “Big Friday Night” for high school sports/basketball and last night we had Vandalia Christian topping Community Baptist 101-97 in overtime and a kid for Community Baptist hit for 50 points and this may be a different level of play than what we see from some of our schools, but it still five-on-five and that kid, Seth Brooks, still hit for 50 points…Plus he was 15-15 at the foul and although those shots are free, that is lot of trips to the stripe and you have to connect and the kid, Brooks hit them all…Vandalia won and their win may be overshadowed by Brooks’ big night, yet VCS had Noah Dunn, a freshman with 29 points and Cameron Alston had 10 assists….Nick Brown with 21 points and John Brewer with 18 to lead Caldwell Academy past the American Hebrew Academy, 65-55…Caldwell girls behind Peyton Kadlecek’s 22 points and 14 rebounds ran past the AHA(American Hebrew Academy) girls 54-25 and Hannah Houser pumped in 13 points and six assists for the Eagles…

We posted these numbers in another post but the Dudley boys and girls were both winners over Southern Alamance, Dudley boys 63-59(OT) and the Dudley girls topped the Patriots, 48-24…Very balanced scoring by the Panther young ladies and looked like Coach Frank McNeil wanted to make sure he got scoring from 10-deep on his Panther bench…..

  1. my WG team is suffering so I am intrigued by Northern/Morehead boys game. Seen Morehead play when we played them last month and I’m very impressed with that team. Very good guard and wing players. Should be a good game with the size of Northern versus the guard/wing play of Morehead.
