The Play that sent the Carolina Panthers home:”Cam to Kam” pick, plus Ice Bowl II

The “Play that sent the Carolina Panthers home”, was the pass that Panthers’ QB Cam Newton threw into the hands of Seattle Seahawks’ DB Kam Chancellor and Chancellor took the ‘pick six’ to the house and that sealed the deal as the Seahawks sent the Panthers home on Saturday night..

“Season over” for the Carolina Panthers and Kam Chancellor was the defensive difference in the game for the Seattle Seahawks….

Chancellor not only returned that pick for TD, he also jumped over the top of the Panthers’ offensive line not once, but twice, in his attempts to block the Panthers’ punts…

Chancellor jumped over that offensive line two times and he made cleanly both times…

Chancellor was the Seawhawks top threat on defensive on Saturday night and the Seattle defense is what won the game and for the Carolina Panthers, time to get some rest and then time to start looking toward 2015 and their next regular season in the NFL…

Not a bad season for the Panthers, as they finish at (8-9-1) and they have plenty to build with and to build upon for next season…

I like how the future looks for guys like Kelvin Benjamin and Philly Brown…Both did a very good job of connecting with QB Cam Newton as the season went along in 2014 and those two young men, along with veteran Greg Olsen, give the Panthers a solid corp of reliable receivers going into the Fall of 2015…..

Dallas and Green Bay in the Ice Bowl II today at Green Bay and I do remember watching parts of that first Ice Bowl, with Dallas at Green Bay back in 1967 and I was watching that game on a TV down at the Norge Dry Cleaners/Laundromat, at the Kings Shopping Center, on West Market Street….

I was only about 10 years old back in Ice Bowl I, but I still remember those big Green Bay names like Bart Starr, Jerry Kramer and Forrest Gregg from the Packers and the Cowboys had guys like Don Meredith, Lee Roy Jordan, Bob Lilly, Dan Reeves and others and who could ever forget those two legendary coaches in Vince Lombardi for Green Bay and Tom Landry for the Dallas Cowboys…

  1. The pass that RB Mike Tolbert dropped proved to be a big play too and it put just another nail in the Carolina Panthers’ coffin….
