The Mustangs of Myers Park(Charlotte, N.C.) improved from No. 39 to No. 11 with a 62-58 defeat of then-No. 6 New Hope Christian Academy (Thomasville) as Aliyah Mazyck had 15 points.

The other new teams: No. 18 Huntsville, Ala.; No. 20 Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, N.C.); No. 22 Olive Branch, Miss.; No. 23 Archbishop Alter, Kettering, Ohio; No. 24 Cumberland Valley, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and No. 25 Chaminade, West Hills, Calif.

  1. I would like to see a game between the Dudley and Northwest Guilford girls and would also like to see Dudley and Northwest meet New Hope Christian Academy, even if it was an exhibition game and it would make all the teams better from playing tough competition…

    Big games this Friday/tomorrow night with Northwest Guilford at Southwest Guilford and Dudley at Page…

  2. New hope would beat northwest. Not sure by how many. I’ve seen them both and though northwest is a great team with a very good point guard and very good post player. I think new hope has a point guard whose just as good and more post players. And better talent and athleticism on the wings. Northwest probably deserves that that top 20 rating for sure.
