Jamestown, NC – This evening the Ragsdale Tigers began a three game home stand, facing off against the Eagles of East Forsyth High School. Both squads were coming off recent close losses in conference play and would look to rebound and gain an advantage in the conference standings. The coaching staffs from both programs were donning sneakers with their game attire in support of the Coaches vs. Cancer “Suits and Sneakers” event, in order to inspire hope and raise awareness for cancer and cancer research.

Ragsdale would forge and early lead on the Eagles thanks in part to two early long range three-pointers from TJ Parker. At the end of one period the Tigers would be up 12-9. However, the Eagles would take the lead for the majority of the next three quarters. Using a 2nd quarter run fueled by Will Weethee and Drew Cone, East Forsyth would go into the halftime break with a 23-16 advantage. The Eagles would maintain their lead throughout the 3rd quarter. With two minutes remaining in the game, Ragsdale had gotten close enough and would finally go back on top and take a one point lead. The Tigers lead was short lived, however, as Madison Cone would hit a bucket in the lane to put the Eagles back up by one point late in the 4th quarter. Ragsdale would come up empty handed on the next possession, but a Jarious Drayton steal at half court and driving lay-up put the Tigers up 38-37 with 55 seconds remaining in the game. With 12 seconds remaining, Madison Cone drove into the paint and hit a tough, off balance floater to give the Eagles the lead again, 39-38. Ragsdale quickly inbounded to Jarious Drayton who drove left and found Austin Love. Love took a contested shot from the left short corner, but TJ Parker was there for the Tigers offensive rebound. Parker went up from about 8 feet away and banked in the game winning shot at the buzzer, to give the Tigers a 40-39 win.

Ragsdale was led by Senior TJ Parker (10 points & 5 rebounds). Austin Love also collected 8 rebounds on the night. Madison Cone led the Eagles with 10 points on the evening.
