Michael Fields following Vandalia Christian School boys basketball with Game Report from VCS-Sheets Memorial

from Michael Fields(GTCC) following high school and college basketball for GreensboroSports.com….
Vandalia 57, Sheets Memorial 35

Vandalia Christian suffered a tough loss last Tuesday at Alamance Christian. That is all that the Vikings had on their mind the rest of the week.

They were ready for redemption.

They were ready to get back on the court and show everyone how they really play. They were ready to play legit Vikings basketball again.

Their next opportunity came Friday night when they traveled to play Sheets Memorial Christian. Unfortunately, Sheets Memorial did not come to play. Vandalia Christian came out of the gates hot once again. They were playing well on offense and defense. The Vikings only allowed Sheets to score two points in the first half. The starters cruised in the second quarter as well. It wasn’t even really a game.

The substitutes for the Vikings got some quality minutes in the second half. They got some valuable game time while the starters sat on the bench beside a happy coaching staff and cheered them on. This was a big win for the Vikings. It got them back on the winning track. It prepared them for some big games coming up in the next week or so.

This was a fantastic tune-up game for the Vikings. They will be playing at home in Pleasant Garden on Monday night.
