GREENSBORO, NC – Greensboro College Director of Athletics Bryan Galuski announced on Monday that Ray Babnik has been named as the Pride’s Head Athletic Trainer. Babnik takes over the head role from Greg Ebel who recently resigned his post to pursue other career opportunities.

“It is with great enthusiasm and excitement to announce Ray as our new Head Athletic Trainer,” Pride Director of Athletics Bryan Galuski said. “Ray has demonstrated the professionalism and knowledge necessary to assume this new role. Under Ray’s leadership, outstanding work ethic, and commitment to his profession, I am completely confident the athletic training staff will provide excellent care to our student-athletes.”

Galuski also stated, “I want to thank Greg for his hard work over the past two years as Head Athletic Trainer and I wish him well as he pursues other professional opportunities.”

Babnik came to Greensboro College in the summer of 2013 following his graduation from SUNY Courtland. Babnik received his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2011 before completing his Master’s Degree in Community Health in May of 2013.

“I want to thank Bryan Galuski and Dr. Daniel for this opportunity,” Babnik said. “I would also like to thank the administration for having the confidence in me to grow professionally and personally. I look forward to the challenges that lie ahead while continuing to provide the highest level of medical care possible to the student athletes here at Greensboro College”

Since joining the Pride athletic training staff, Babnik has served as the primary athletic trainer for football, tennis, and women’s lacrosse.
