Game Report on Ragsdale-Glenn Boys Basketball as Tigers fly past Bobcats after very close first half

This evening the Ragsdale Tigers squared off against conference foe, the Bobcats of Glenn High School. Ragsdale would look to build momentum from its narrow win on Friday night over East Forsyth, while Glenn was also coming off a close victory on the road at High Point Central.

Both teams would trade the lead in a back-and-forth first period, with the Bobcats taking a 13-12 lead after the end of one quarter. The second quarter was much of the same, however the Tigers were able to take a one point edge into the halftime break at 24-23. In the second half, the Tigers used a balanced offense and would finally string together defensive stops to pull away from the Bobcats, earning a hard-fought conference victory by the final score of 68-53.

Ragsdale placed three players in double figure scoring on the night. Leading the way for the Tigers was Sophomore Kyle Watkins (16 points, 5 rebounds), Senior TJ Parker (15 points) and Sophomore Greyson Collins (11 points). Chryshawn Lindsey led the Bobcats with 10 points on the evening.

Ragsdale improves to 13 – 6 overall and 3 – 2 in the Piedmont Triad 4A Conference. Glenn drops to 4 – 13 overall and 1 – 4 in the conference.
