Graham Sporting Goods High School Basketball Tonight with WES at GDS creating another BUZZ!(Don’t forget Page at Grimsley too)

The BIG BUZZ is on the Wesleyan boys(24-4) at the Greensboro Day School(27-1) and the News and Record has GDS winning this game by the score of 63-59, but I just got the call that WES is going to win this game by 7 points and that call came in from a good source and we will go with that for now and we will have to wait and see if we can all get in the door over there on Lawndale Drive this evening and if you do have a ticket, you better get there and get inside early for that 7pm tip….The girls game goes at 5:30 and WES won the first time around over at WES and they would have to be favored to win again this evening….Giles and Jones are the two players to not take your eyes off from WES and Darius Moore/Peter Agba from GDS must match and add to what they did at WES, just two weeks ago in this evening’s contest…

BIG GAME as well with Page at Grimsley with both boys teams still having their sights set on being the Number One team in the Metro 4-A this season and if Grimsley wins tonight they will right there with Page, but you have to think Page wins this game if they play the same way that they have been playing over the past 4-6 weeks….John Puryear, Aaron Wiggins, Michael Featherston and the two Moores(Mason and Nick I think it is) will be the key for Grimsley and the three-headed monster from Page that includes Xavier-Hill Mais, Jalen Seegars and Diondre Overton must be up to their December/January levels in order for Page to win tonight…Girls at 6 and boys at 7:30 and with the staggered start, you can catch GDS-WES and you should be able to get to Grimsley in time for the Pirates’-Whirlies’ second half..

Gospel Light at Vandalia….5:30 for girls and boys to follow….Boys game went to Overtime last Friday night in Walkertown, with VCS coming out on top and you can expect similar results when the Vikings and Lions meet down on Pleasant Garden Road tonight….Both teams are fighting to be #1…
Northern Guilford at Northeast Guilford 6:30pm for the girls and this game ought to be one of the better girls games of the night, as you will see NEG give an effort that may be hard to top….Does NEG have the talent to get past Northern, probably not, but you will the Rams approach this game like they have arrived and now with what NG has been doing lately, the Nighthawk girls will get everyone’s best shot, each night of the week and then again, twice on Sundays…NG have only lost two conference games and those were the two games that NG PG Sydney Wilson missed, due to playing too hard in a previous game…..
Ragsdale at Southwest Guilford 6pm….No “nights off” now for the SWG men and the Ragsdale team has been playing people tough overall recently and they stole one, by one, from East Forsyth last week….
Dudley at Southern Alamance 6pm…The boys game should be good, but the Dudley girls should run fast and furious past SA….Hendon Hooker and Brion Seagraves from Dudley matching up with Carrington Young and Jalen Burnett from SA boys…
High Point Central at Northwest Guilford 6pm…Senior Night for the NWG girls including Hunter Newman, Leah Wallace and Qyashia Griffin….NWG girls(20-0) just have to keep on winning and the NWG boys must do the same…
Southeast Guilford at Smith 6pm….Smith boys and SEG girls on the run in these two…
Western Alamance at Eastern Guilford 6:30pm….Time for EG girls to lock it down/buckle down and for the EG boys, Coach Joe Spinks says “they can’t be looking ahead to Morehead coming up tomorrow/Wednesday night….
Central Davidson at Southern Guilford 6pm…Both SG teams have been playing hard and it has been like an on-again, off-again level, with the girls on top one, and the Storm boys the next…Like to see them both play well on the same night….
Western Guilford at North Forsyth 6pm….This is the season that Western Guilford would like to forget…..This has been a tough year, to say the least..
Randleman at High Point Andrews 6pm….The Randleman Tiger boys are extremely strong and there is no stopping the HP Andrews girls right now, and that old tune, “‘Aint no stopping us now” does apply…
Caldwell Academy at Salem Baptist girls at 5:30pm and boys at 7pm….Caldwell girls at (20-6) on the season….
Eastern Alamance at Rockingham County 6:30pm….This girls game ought to be one of the better games in the Mid-State tonight and for the boys, Eastern Alamance is always looking for ways to hit 100 and this might be another one of those nights…
American Hebrew at Westchester Country Day 5:30pm
Glenn at East Forsyth 6pm…..Continue to keep an eye on the Cone kids from EF….
Burlington Williams at McMichael 6:30pm

  1. Think it will be difficult for GDS to do what they did at Wesleyan. Although I know they will be as prepared as possible. I have my guys going down though by 3. But I do have them winning what should be the rubber match in Asheville for the state title.

  2. It’s still the best basketball in the area, though I admit that I was shocked when I bought mine.
