ELON, N.C. – The Elon University softball team’s five-game slate this week has been cancelled due to the recent and impending winter weather that has hit the surrounding region.
The Phoenix was scheduled to host Campbell on Wednesday, Feb. 18, and its first home tournament of the year, the Phoenix Opening Tournament, beginning on Friday, Feb. 20. Those games will not be played due to the snowy and icy conditions throughout the state.
Elon will return to the field to play at North Carolina next Wednesday, Feb. 25, in Chapel Hill, N.C.
