HPU Baseball Announces Schedule Changes

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University baseball team has announced a schedule change for this weekend due to inclement weather in the area. The Panthers will no longer host Dayton, but will instead travel to Aiken, S.C., where they will play two games against Ball State and one against Elon.

High Point will take on Ball State on Friday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m., then play a doubleheader against Ball State and Elon on Saturday, Feb. 21. HPU will take on Ball State at 10 a.m., and Elon at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday.

In addition, the Panthers will make-up their home game against North Carolina Central, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, on Wednesday, April 22. The game will be held at Williard Stadium with first pitch set for 6 p.m.

High Point is 1-1 on the season after splitting two games in its series against UNCG. The Panthers dropped the first game at UNCG by a score of 12-8 on Friday before picking up their first win of the season with a 12-2 victory at Williard Stadium on Saturday.
