HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women’s basketball team heads to Conway, S.C. for the Big South Tournament quarterfinals on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the HTC Center against Presbyterian.
The Panthers (18-11, 14-6) enter the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6 Blue Hose (16-14, 10-10) on Thursday. PC got past a feisty Charleston Southern with a 47-39 victory in the first round on Tuesday afternoon.
HPU enters the tournament on a three-game winning streak and boasts the Big South Player of the Year in redshirt-senior Stacia Robertson. In its last game of the season, the Purple & White beat Radford, the league’s No. 2 seed, 83-63 in the Millis Center on Feb. 28.
High Point is 14-15 (.483) in the Big South tournament after advancing to the championship game last season where it fell 87-74 to Winthrop.
