Baseball (7-5)
Elon vs. Wake Forest, Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m., Latham Park
Elon at Wake Forest, Wednesday, March 11, at 6 p.m., Winston-Salem, N.C.
Elon vs. East Carolina, Friday – Sunday, March 13 – 15, at 4 p.m./2 p.m./1:30 p.m., Latham Park

• The Phoenix played five games last week and picked up wins over former Southern Conference rivals Davidson and The Citadel.
• Senior Casey Jones has hit in six straight games to move his batting average to .409. A year ago, Jones hit .418 to rank in the top five nationally.
• Senior Quinn Bower has stolen six bases this year to up his career total to 57. That number ranks ninth on the program’s all-time list and is just two behind Chuck Lindsey (1976-77) for eighth place.
• This week, Elon will take on its first ACC foe of the year as the Phoenix will play its annual home-and-home set with Wake Forest. The Phoenix is 35-55 all-time against the Demon Deacons and last year’s game at Latham Park was a 12-inning contest.
• Elon will then play host to East Carolina for three games this weekend. The two teams did not face off in 2014, but will play a total of four times this year.

Men’s Golf
Elon at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, Monday – Tuesday, March 9 – 10, Aiken, S.C.

• Elon opened its spring season by placing ninth out of 19 teams at the weather-shortened Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate.
• Will DiIanni, Charlie May and Troy Beaver led the Phoenix in its first spring event, as all three shot a seven-over 151 to tie for 22nd.
• The Phoenix will now participate in the 18-team Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate hosted by USC Aiken. Elon will be the lone CAA school in the field.
• The site of the tournament is the Palmetto Golf Club’s par-70 course.

Men’s Tennis (4-8)
Elon vs. Longwood, Thursday, March 12, at 3 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon vs. Winthrop, Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center
Elon vs. George Washington, Sunday, March 15, at 2:30 p.m., Jimmy Powell Tennis Center

• Elon returned home to the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center for the first time in three weeks March 7, as the Phoenix split a doubleheader against North Carolina Central and Georgia Southern.
• Robert Lindgren went perfect in singles play on the weekend, beginning the day with a 6-2, 6-2 win against NCCU’s William East and finishing with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over GSU’s Jose Landin.
• Elon’s top doubles pairing of Stefan Fortmann and Brian Kowalski stretched its win streak to five matches with an 8-3 defeat of GSU’s Landin and Kyle Hoffman. The duo hasn’t lost since Feb. 8 at No. 59 Virginia Commonwealth.

Softball (12-5)
Elon at Charlotte, Wednesday, March 11, at 5 p.m., Charlotte, N.C.
Elon vs. North Carolina Central, Friday, March 13, at 5:30 p.m., Hunt Softball Park
Elon at UNCG, Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m., Greensboro, N.C.

• The maroon and gold has its first true road contests of the season this week at Charlotte (March 11) and UNCG (March 15), while also hosting North Carolina Central on Friday, March 13.
• Elon went 5-1 last week after being idle the previous week due to weather. The Phoenix defeated Campbell and NC State in a pair of early mid-week games at home. It was the Phoenix’s first victory over the Camels since 2010 and its first triumph over the Wolfpack since 2012.
• Elon concluded the week with a 3-1 mark during its first home tournament, defeating Lafayette twice before closing out the tournament with a 4-3 extra-inning victory over Hampton on Sunday.
• Senior pitcher Caitlin O’Shea tied her older sister Erin O’Shea (2009-12) for second all-time in program history in career saves at Elon. Caitlin O’Shea picked up the save against Lafayette on Saturday – the fifth in her career. She is one shy for tying Jen Lamb (2003-04) for the most in school history.

Women’s Basketball (18-11)
2015 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship
#4 Elon vs. #5 UNCW, Friday, March 13, at 2:30 p.m., Upper Marlboro, Md.

• Elon finished the regular season last week with an exciting 77-76 overtime win against Delaware in Alumni Gym.
• The Phoenix clinched the fourth seed, after finishing in a tie for third with an 11-7 CAA mark, in this week’s CAA Women’s Basketball Championship. Elon plays fifth-seeded UNCW in the tournament’s quarterfinals on Friday.
• The Seahawks claimed the win in both meetings, although by no more than six points, during the regular season with a 76-68 final in Wilmington, N.C., on Jan. 22 and 86-82 in Alumni Gym on Feb. 12.

Women’s Lacrosse (4-3)
Elon vs. High Point, Wednesday, March 11, at 6 p.m., Rhodes Stadium

• Elon returned home for the first time in over four weeks last Friday and claimed an 11-6 win over Coastal Carolina with the help of four goals by freshman Kelsey Dupere.
• This week, Elon hosts local team and its second straight Big South opponent in High Point on Wednesday at Rhodes Stadium.
• Last season, the Panthers claimed an 11-4 win over the maroon and gold in High Point, N.C., en route to its second straight conference championship and NCAA appearance.

Women’s Tennis (5-5)
Elon at UNCW, Friday, March 13, at 2 p.m.

• Elon fell in a tough 5-2 match to Liberty in its last match on Saturday, snapping a four-match winning streak for the Phoenix.
• Erica Braschi and Olivia Lucas both came out with wins against Liberty. There are six members on the team with winning records in singles play so far this season.
• The Phoenix will be heading to Wilmington, N.C., to face the Seahawks in its next match this upcoming Friday.

Women’s Track and Field
Elon at Coastal Carolina Invitational, Friday – Saturday, March 13 – 14, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

• Elon opens the outdoor portion of its schedule this weekend at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.
• The Phoenix concluded its indoor season at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championships last weekend, March 6 – 8, in Boston. Elon had 10 athletes in competition at the meet and finished 21st overall.
• Sophomore Kimberly Johansen broke her own school-record in the 800-meters at the ECAC meet with a time of 2:09.01 in the preliminaries. She finished fifth overall in the finals of the race with a time of 2:09.80. Sydney Griffin was fourth overall in the 60-meter hurdles at the ECACs with a season-best time of 8.72.
• Elyse Bierut set a new personal-best time of 9:39.51 in the 3,000-meters and was 12th overall in the race at the ECAC Championships.
