  1. So what was the criteria to make it? Last year there was no question the kids who made it deserved to make it… This year however you leave out Aaron Simpson (smith high school 22 points per game) John Puryear (Grimsley High School 20 points a game) Jalen Seagers (page high school 15 points a game) Deondre Overton (page high school 17 points a game) judging from the cast of private school kids who probably didn’t put up the same number as any of the players named it seems to not be a reward but merely a political game and who has money!!! This is crazy Andy!

  2. Correction since it’s only seniors Aaron Simpson and John Puryear proved to be the best scorers in the area this season. Guess Smith and Grimsley didn’t have enough AAU affiliation or money. It’s a shame its not based on performance

  3. Yes only seniors, so no Seegars and no Overton…Puryear is tied in tightly with Lacrosse right now and not sure if that is an issue or not and as for Simpson, he should have been a strong candidate…

  4. @Eagles dad from what I understand coaches nominate players for this game. Considering who runs this event, it is surprising that would be allowed to happen. Not to take anything away from those chosen but definitely surprising.

  5. Congrats to John Brewer #14 Caldwell Academy! He and senior PG Jordan Harris lead this team all season. It’s a shame we won’t see these 2 play together one last time.

  6. I’m sure all the players selected have worked hard this season and there are a lot of deserving players in the triad. I’m a coach and reached out to Triad All Star to request nomination info in order to include one of my players and my request was ignored. I guess they include who they want. But 1 thing is guaranteed, no other coach I know wouldn’t make sure ALL their own seniors weren’t taken care of if they had something like this.

  7. The coach that runs this event has proven on several occasions to be more interested in politics and money than the betterment of student athletes. That’s why I have stopped supporting his events and his organization.
