Lucas Olszewski ( complete game 9 K’s) and John Flowers ( 3-4 2RBI, 2R ) lead Hornets to first victory
The Western Guilford Hornets brought home their first league win of the young season with a well played 10-5 win over North Forsyth. After a shaky 1st inning Junior Lucas Olszewski settled down and pitched a complete game 9 strikeout ball game. The Hornets broke out of their hitting slump and banged out 15 hits led by senior John Flowers who went 3-4 with 2 RBI and 2R and senior Andrew King was 3-5 with 2 runs. The hitting parade was also joined in by Alec Sawyer 2-4 2RBI, Olszewski ( 2-4, RBI ) and Sophomores Troy Flippin ( 2-4 ,3RBI) and Matthew Nusdeo ( 1-4, Double, RBI ).
