Northeast Guilford 8, Eastern Alamance 1:At Mebane, the visiting Rams broke an early 1-1 tie and scored seven unanswered runs for the Mid-State 3-A Conference victory. Jacob Brown led Northeast Guilford with three RBI, including a home run. Carter Williams also hit a home run.

Western Alamance 7, McMichael 5:Western Alamance outlasted visiting McMichael 7-5 on Wednesday night in a Mid-State 3-A Conference baseball game. Breydan Gorham picked up the victory on the mound, striking out nine batters.

Gorham also helped the cause offensively, rapping two hits and driving in two runs for the Warriors (5-2 overall, 5-2 Mid-State 3-A Conference). Jordan Hodge collected three RBI on two hits, while Jake Christman also added two hits.

McMichael fell to 1-6, 1-6.
