GC Baseball Falls To Roanoke In Rain Shortened Game

ROANOKE, VA – The Greensboro College baseball team (8-14) traveled to take on the Maroons of Roanoke College (8-6) on Thursday evening. The Pride could not get anything going falling by a final score of 14-0 in a rain shortened eight innings.

Greensboro College recorded five hits over the eight innings of play. Cody York led the way with two hits while Zach Neumeister, Andrew Toney, and Kristopher Taveras accounted for the other three hits.

Mitch Choros took the loss on the mound tossing the first four innings of play. Hunter Wolfington and Drew Paice also pitched in the contest.

“We were not able to get anything going offensively tonight and made some mistakes in the field,” Pride Head Coach Jonathan Nichols said following the game. “As a team we have to get ourselves better both at the plate and in the field and quickly turn our attention to our conference series this weekend.”
