Kelly Grant Joins HPU Women’s Soccer Coaching Staff

HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University women’s soccer coach Marty Beall announced the addition of Kelly Grant to the Panther coaching staff as an assistant coach on Wednesday.

“I am very excited to add Kelly to our staff,” Beall said. “She is a very bright coach who has a passion for the game and even more importantly she has a passion for helping players become the best they can be in every area of their lives. Kelly’s positive energy and knowledge will be a great value to our program.”

Grant joins HPU from Goucher College where she served for two seasons as the women’s soccer graduate assistant. Her duties at Goucher included assisting with practice sessions and games, cutting game file, coordinating potential student-athlete visits and recruiting.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be joining the HPU women’s soccer program,” Grant said. “I look forward to working with Coach Beall and Coach Fontaine in continuing the tradition of helping our players be successful on and off the field.”

Prior to her year at Goucher, Grant worked for three seasons as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Grant assisted and led practice sessions, led film sessions and was involved in recruiting during her four seasons with the Cardinals.

In addition to her work at Catholic and Goucher, Grant has worked for two years as a Region I ODP staff coach.

Grant graduated from Stony Brook University in 2010 with a degree in Health Sciences and Technology. She played four seasons with the Seawolves women’s soccer program as a defender.
