  1. Not sure what game you were watching but welch only gave up 3 runs. Burrows came in and pitched after throwing 5 innings on Thursday night and gave up at least 4 hits and 4 runs. Hope the kid’s arm is ok because he had nothing on his ball and shouldn’t have been in the game. Pretty sure he threw over 100 pitches on Thursday. Not sure how Ragsdale is going to play 2 more games this week without anyone to pitch.

  2. I believe he came in with runners on 1st and 3rd. If those runners score they are still the responsibility of the departing pitchers. The incoming pitcher does not bear responsibility for any inherited runners only those that get on and score after they enter the game.

  3. Ragsdale’a run production down drastically the last. 2 weeks? Didn’t even score Thursday night…

  4. The runners on base when the pitcher leaves belong to the pitcher that just left the game…

You can give up what might be the winning hit, but still not be charged with giving up the winning run, since that run could well have already been on base when you came in to pitch..

Mike Ellis don’t miss many at all…A great friend and reporter for the Ragsdale program…

  5. Mike E is definitely a stand up reporter and a good person! Not sure he’s with Ragsdale this weekend? Didn’t see him at the Park yesterday.

  6. This information is NOT correct! I’m not sure where these stats came from as I don’t think he is even here. When Welch left the mound the score was 5-2, with 2 runners on base. With those 2 runs the score was 5-4. This loss did not go against Welch, look at the top of the article where it says Losing Pitcher. Just setting the record straight as the info reported is incorrect, and not just Welch’s stats but others as well!!

  7. Time for all to ease up and get ready for the next game…Plenty of games to play and the one from Saturday is done….

Fans and teams need to stick together…

We will let this one ride and get ready for Monday’s action…
