WP:Andrew Robinson/LP:Jalen Pruitt…Robinson with 14 K’s in one of the best performances that I have seen this season….Robinson’s catcher, his brother Luke Robinson was out of the lineup tonight due to illness and seldom- used catcher Travis Hunt had to step in and take over behind the plate and did an outstanding job of working with Andrew Robinson to help earn the EG Wildcat victory….
What a difference a day can make…In the Dudley Easter Tournament, all of the teams are now tied with (1-1) records after the first two days and the Tournament Title is up for grabs, as they head to the final day on Monday with Northeast Guilford vs. Eastern Guilford and Dudley vs. Southern Guilford…

Last check we had, Western Alamance led Uwharrie Charter 3-0 in the first inning at the Graham Boosters Easter Tournament…Jordan Hodge with an RBI and a run for WA, Garrett Hodge with an RBI, Breydan Gorham with a run for the Warriors…Noah Turbeville was on the hill for Uwharrie Charter and Christian was throwing for Western Alamance…Last check we had and an early check, it was Western Alamance 3, Uwharrie Charter 0….

3rd Place Game:Southern Alamance 12, Chatham Central 0
5th Place Game:Eastern Alamance 11, Western Guilford 6

News on the Western Alamance-Uwharrie Charter championship game from the Burlington Times-News at www.thetimesnews.com:

Garrett Hodge led the way by going 2-for-3 with a double and a two-run home run in the fourth inning…..

Jordan Hodge, Garrett’s younger brother, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Jordan Hodge was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in the championship.

Hodge also entered as a pitcher in the fourth and held Uwharrie Charter (3-7) scoreless for the last three innings.

Breydan Gorham was 2-for-4 with three runs scored, while Phillip Cole was 2-for-3 with a pair of walks for the Warriors. Cole Weaver had a double.

  1. Young Eagles team ran into a more physical team last night.
    Good showing for 2nd year program, look for these young guys to make some noise next year.
    Congrats to Western Alamance.

  2. We will see that young Van Hurley team downtown this week when they meet Southeast Guilford to begin the Farm Bureau Spring Break Baseball Bash on Wednesday at 11am at NewBridge Bank Park….
