Elon Cross Country’s Polk Announces Remainder of Recruiting Class

ELON, N.C. – Elon University men’s and women’s head cross country coach Nick Polk announced the addition of five prospective student-athletes to his 2015 recruiting class on Thursday, April 23. Polk and the Phoenix welcomes one female and four males that are slated to join the program this fall.

Bridgette Harrell (Kernersville, N.C. / East Forsyth) makes up the lone female addition of the group and joins Nick Ciolkowski (Fairport, N.Y. / McQuiad Jesuit), Greg Paugh (Jackson, N.J. / Christian Brothers), Michael Germinario (Wayne, N.J. / Wayne Valley) and Ryan Doane (Glen Mills, Pa. / Malvern Prep) to round out the quintet.

“I am very excited to welcome these incoming student-athletes to Elon University and I look forward to begin working with them,” said Polk. “This group brings a lot of talent and depth to our program. I see many of these student-athletes being able to step in and contribute early on in their careers and continue to traditions that were set before them.”

The group will join the program’s early signees rom the fall of Emma Brown (Matthews, N.C. / Providence Day School), Coralea Geraniotis (Orleans, Mass. / Nauset Regional High School) and Chelsea Smith (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River South High School) along with the men’s duo of of Josh Kruppa (Freehold, N.J. / Christian Brothers Academy) and Colton Lawson (Bahama, N.C. / Northern High School).
