LEWISVILLE — Josh Nifong struck out 10 while allowing just two hits while Dylan Wilkinson hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to help High Point Christian beat host Forsyth Country Day 4-0 in PACIS 2A/3A play Thursday.
Nifong earned the complete-game for the Cougars (19-1-1 overall, 8-0 PACIS) to improve to 8-0. Timmy Fischvogt went 3 for 5 at the plate, while Wilkinson, Luke Gesell and Austin Hendley each had two hits. Curtis Dillon also had an RBI single in the fifth.
HPCA next takes on rival Wesleyan Christian with two games next week. The first game will be Tuesday at Ed Price Field at 6 p.m., followed by the second game Thursday at Oak View Baptist Church at 4:30 p.m.
