Two teams to watch out for coming out of the Charlotte high school baseball region of the state

In the 4-A’s watch out for these two teams, the South Mecklenburg Sabres and Providence High School, as we get closer to the NCHSAA baseball playoffs/trail….

In his fifth year, coach Jon Tuscan is 93-40 overall at South Mecklenburg High School and has his team in position for a SoMeck 8 conference title. The Sabres (16-4, 10-2) will play Providence (20-1, 11-1) TONIGHT night at Providence for first place. First pitch is at 6:30. Each team has two regular-season games remaining. If South Meck wins out, it wins the championship.

South Mecklenburg won the NCHSAA 4-A Baseball Title in 2013 and read how their coach Jon Tuscan defeated testicular cancer that same year and he says his dog Mick(Mantle?) saved his life…
