Great player and teammate. I consider myself lucky to have played with him at A&T. Easily one of the best if not the best hitter to ever represent the Aggies. He never faced a pitch he couldn’t handle. Great ambassador on and off the field. The program needs more Jeremy Jones type players to compete on the level they aspire to be at.
Those years when Jones played were actually fun to watch A&T. They made a great run in 2005. Jones along with his buddy Charlie Gamble will both be in the hall at some point in time. I don’t know if Jeremy still coaches locally but I do hear the Gambles help out at Southeast. Those two guys pretty much received every award you could in that conference during their years. Eggers and Beatty were not and are still not to shabby themselves.
