Elon’s Bower Earns Baseball Academic All-District Honor

ELON, N.C. – Elon University senior outfielder Quinn Bower has been selected as a member of the Capital One Academic All-District 3 baseball team as announced on Thursday, May 7, by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This marks the second consecutive year that Bower has earned the honor.

A native of New Cumberland, Pa., Bower sports a 3.79 GPA as a finance major. He was an Academic All-Southern Conference honoree in both 2013 and 2014. On the field, Bower is hitting .282 with 34 runs scored and a team-best 10 stolen bases in 41 games. He has eight multi-hit outings this season, including two four-hit games. At one point this year, Bower reached base safely in 11 consecutive games.

Bower ranks seventh in program history with 61 career stolen bases. He is a career .284 hitter over 680 at bats in 200 games. He has scored 138 runs, has 23 doubles, six triples and one home run.

With his all-district selection, Bower is now eligible to earn Academic All-America accolades.
