On a home run Lee County led Northern Guilford going into the bottom of the 7th inning and then the Nighthawks found a way to get two runs and they went on to win their Round Four NCHSAA Softball game over Lee County 2-1…
The game can change in a hurry….NG was down 1-0 headed to the bottom of the 7th inning at home on Friday night and the Nighthawks proceeded to load up the bases with no outs and then the next thing you know, they still have the bases loaded, but now with two outs…
Then Northern hits a ground ball to first base and it gets through the Lee County right fielder’s glove into the outfield and Northern scores from third to win the game 2-1 and now the Nighthawks move on to the Fifth Round of the NCHSAA 3-A Softball Playoffs…
*****Starting pitcher Anne Tewksbury scored the game-tying run and Mallory Price scored the game-winner…..*****

Big win for Northern Guilford and they should be set to play again next Tuesday in the NCHSAA East Division Best-of-Three Finals….
