Eastern Randolph Post 81 lost 4-2 on Monday, despite outhitting Apex Post 124 eight to six.

Jacob Sipe got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the third and seventh innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Hartwell Perkinson got the win for Apex Post 124. He pitched five shutout innings. Perkinson struck out four, walked one and gave up two hits.

Josh Hudson took the loss for Eastern Randolph Post 81. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed three runs.

Apex Post 124 went up for good in the first, scoring one run on an RBI double by Jake Mulden.

Apex Post 124 put up one run in each of the second, third and eighth. In the second, Apex Post 124 scored on a sacrifice fly by Aaron Cox, plating Derek Beal.

One run in the top of the seventh helped Eastern Randolph Post 81 close its deficit to 3-1. An RBI single by Chayce Aldridge set off Eastern Randolph Post 81 rally. Bryson Beck to end the Eastern Randolph Post 81 threat.
