HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University Athletics Department posted a number of all-time program bests in the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR), as released by the NCAA Wednesday.

In the NCAA’s annual report, the men’s cross country, women’s cross country, women’s golf, men’s soccer, men’s indoor and outdoor track & field and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams posted a perfect APR score for 2013-14 (1000). The women’s cross country and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field programs hit multi-year scores of 1000.

In addition, the women’s cross country, men’s indoor and outdoor track & field and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams at HPU each have the highest APR scores in the Big South Conference for their respective sports. The HPU men’s lacrosse team has the highest APR score in the Southern Conference. None of HPU’s 16 teams face any penalty for low or substandard APR scores.

In all, 13 of the Panthers’ 16 sports posted multi-year APR rates of 970 or above. In addition, the men’s lacrosse, men’s indoor track & field, women’s basketball, women’s cross country, women’s lacrosse and women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams set or matched the highest multi-year APR marks in program history.
