Greensboro Day School Lacrosse Coach Ira Vanterpool was selected as Coach of the Year in the Piedmont Athletic Conference of Independent Schools (PACIS), as well as US Lacrosse as Coach of the Year for the State of North Carolina and the independent schools.
The US Lacrosse Association selects only one Coach per year in each state and takes nominations from Coaches within the state. GDS Assistant Athletic Director, Jon Schner stated “This award truly shows Ira’s abilities to build a program, network with other coaches across the state, and to lead GDS and his athletes in a positive manner. We are very fortunate to have him representing our school and our program in such a positive way!”
