After a high school record of 753-60, Alexander Central softball coach headed to the college ranks

Monte Sherrill, the record-setting coach from Alexander Central High School, will resign and become a college coach at Pfeiffer next season.

Sherrill’s record was 753-60 in 26 seasons of high school coaching, with 22 years at Alexander Central and 4 seasons at Central Cabarrus….

Up until the end of this season Alexander Central had a 95-game winning streak going and Sherrill has been named National High School coach of the year on more than one occasion…
