GREENSBORO — Kirby Lambert and Aaron Garner each hit two-run homers to lead Randolph County Post 45 to a 9-3 win over Greensboro in the opening game of the conference season for Post 45.

Garner’s two-run shot came in the fourth inning and gave Post 45 (1-0, 7-3) a 4-0 lead, while Lambert’s shot came in a three-run seventh, which pushed the Post 45 lead to 9-3.

“It was one of those games that just kind of drug out,” Post 45 coach Ronnie Pugh said. “We spread it out.”

Jaxon Snider had three hits, Tristan Marsh added two and Lambert had two as well for Randolph County, which had 10 hits in the contest.

Bobby Weary went five innings on the mound for the victory and Zach LaBranch went the final four innings for the save.
