[Late on the call but we still need to give them our all]We lost a good friend a few weeks back:Jeff Summey(Golden Corral/Libby Hill Seafood) gone

*****Just learned of this news today, when I stopped in over at the Golden Corral on Lawndale Drive and I saw a box that read “Jeff Summey Education Fund” and I wondered if Jeff was going back to school/college part time and seeking a serious degree and maybe he was looking for help…Then on the way out the lady at the register told me that the education fund was for Jeff’s two young daughters and that Jeff Summey had died of a heart attack three months ago….I really hated to hear that…Used to see Jeff every year especially right around Christmas at the Golden Corral and had known Jeff back when he owned the Libby Seafood on Summit Avenue and Jeff Summey on Summit was the “fish man” on that side of town for many years….Jeff would make those chicken tenders available for “Big Jim” Modlin during our Friday night radio high school football games and he used to love to listen to the wrestling radio show we did for so many years with Bruce Mitchell, from the Pro Wrestling Torch….Jeff and his wife went to China and adopted two little daughters and they both were very good at gymnastics and Jeff was very proud of those young girls and their hard work…..Got to miss Jeff Summey and he left us early at just 53 years of age due to a heart attack…..Jeff and his dad were very active in youth sports in the High Point/Thomasville area and Jeff graduated from High Point Central High School…..Jeff was a huge North Carolina Tar Heels fan and he loved to keep up with/follow college football and basketball….I wish we could have had a chance to get this last regards up here sooner, but we just got the news today….Thank-you Jeff Summey for being a good friend and a good husband/father and a leader in your community….Lots of people leaving us in recent days….Jeff Summey, coach Chris Spence from Smith High School, Dan “The Man” Burkhardt from the courthouse downtown…Dan a big Duke fan and a good person and he left us last week at age 60……Condolences to all of the families effected by these deaths….*****
