HiToms represent Coastal Plain League well in the MLB Draft

HiToms Once Again Lead the Coastal Plain League in Most Players Drafted

The 2015 Major League Baseball draft saw 11 former High Point – Thomasville HiToms/ HT Locos drafted. The Tommies once again paced the Coastal Plain League with 10 former players drafted and one former Locos player.

Leading the way for the HiToms was 2013 HiTom Kyle Martin (University of South Carolina). The Greenville, SC native was selected as the 114 overall pick (fourth round) by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Jared Foster (LSU) went in the fifth round to the Angles.
Nick Dini (Wagner College) went in the fourteenth round to the Royals.
Brody Koerner (Clemson) went in the seventieth round to the Yankees.
Kyle Keller (Southeastern Louisiana) went in the eighteenth round to the Marlins.
Joey Havrilack (Akron University) went in the eighteenth round to the Tigers.
Phil Maton (Louisiana Tech) went in the twentieth round to the Padres.
Sutton Whiting (Louisville) went in the twenty-fourth round to Chicago.
Hunter Barnett (Mt. Olive) went in the thirty-fourth round to Toronto.
Ryan Colgate (Ohio Dominican) went in the thirty-sixth round to Cleveland.
Adam Boghosian (North Greenville University) went in round twenty-two to the Nationals (first Loco ever drafted).
