Local Greensboro/Area Baseball for today(6/16/15):CWS, Hoppers, NABA vs. CVCL, AL, COLTS, SEG Junior Legion and more

from Monday:College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska:Virginia 1, Florida 0….Miami 4, Arkansas 3…Arkansas has been eliminated…UVA-FLA went on into the night/early morning and finished up at around 1:30am….FLA had two men on and nobody out in the bottom of the 8th inning and could not get them in…Bader for the Gators hit a ball so hard back to the UVA pitcher Sproles, that it knocked the pitcher’s glove off, but he still recovered and threw a runner out at second base for out one…First Round Draft pick Richie Martin was out next for FLA, pop up/soft-liner I believe and then Josh Tobias(Southeast Guilford High School) grounded out to second base and the Gators were out of the inning with nothing to show for their efforts…I listened to the game on Gator Radio and it was a long one and Virginia got the win…
+++++Josh Tobias(Southeast Guilford HS) was hit by a pitch in the first inning to reach base for the 29th game in a row for the Florida Gators.*****

  1. It blows me away with All the talent Ragsdale has had the past 2 years how did they not win more games? Why did they start off strong and fold both years.. In 2013-14, started the season with a 11-2 record and finished 13-10! This year very similar as they started off hot with a 10-1 record and once again a tailspin to a 15-10 final record.

  2. I don’t understand all you don’t win with that talent. They had 8 -9 college players the
    Sat 2 years!

  3. Unfortunately the players that were supposed to be the best on the team didn’t perform well against anyone worthy. At times it looked like they didn’t care or weren’t even trying. Sad really! Some of the best performers were people you never hear about on here. Too much attention given to players who performed well in previous seasons that did nothing this past season. Maybe we should get behind the players that played really well this past season and not keep bringing up the ones that didn’t?? Moving on…….
