Early lead gives Eastern Randolph Post 81 victory over Apex Post 124, 13-1

Eastern Randolph Post 81 jumped out to an early lead on Apex Post 124 and captured a 13-1 victory on Tuesday.

The game was decided quickly as Eastern Randolph Post 81 exerted its will early with seven runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Easton Jones, a passed ball, and an RBI single by Bailey Steed during the first inning fueled Eastern Randolph Post 81’s offense early.
Brayden King put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Eastern Randolph Post 81. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Eastern Randolph Post 81 got the win thanks in large part to JT Moore’s dominant, five-strikeout performance. Moore allowed no earned runs, seven hits and one walk over six innings.

Connor Leinbach couldn’t get it done on the bump for Apex Post 124, taking a loss. He allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.

Eastern Randolph Post 81 tacked on another four runs in the third. A error scored DJ Laxton to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Gage White’s single, plating Steed.

Eastern Randolph Post 81 added five more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Steed started the inning with a single, bringing home Jones.

Eastern Randolph Post 81 quickly matched Apex Post 124’s strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the fifth. Eastern Randolph Post 81 scored on a groundout by Laxton.
