Scoring:TD 6 points, Conversion 2 pts. all passing…INT 2 pts., Defensive Stop 1 pt.
Northern scored first on a pick/INT(#23) to go up 2-0….NG then got a TD pass from QB Myles Timmons and with the two-point conversion Northern led early 10-0….NG then got a defensive stop to lead fellow Mid-State 3-A Conference foe Western Alamance 11-0….NG up 11-0 in the game and then Western Alamance goes to work…WA touchdown and then the two-point conversion along the way and WA has cut the lead to 11-9 and then the WA Warriors get a defensive stop to make it 11-10 Northern Guilford…WA then marches down the field and scores on another TD pass to make it 16-11 WA and the two-point conversion failed an it is now 16-11 WB…WA gets an interception and now leads 18-11 and it is getting late and in the process WA gets the ball back one more time and the Northern defense holds to make the score 18-12 and NG has the ball back for one more shot and Iimmons goes deep to Tucker Hord who makes a great catch and hauls in the ball at the two-yard line as time runs out and the game over….
Western Alamance takes the Guilford COllege 2015 7 on 7 Championship 18-12 over Northern Guilford….Tucker Hord(Northern Guilford) had two of the craziest catches/receptions that you will ever see…The one at the end near the end zone and one up the right sideline where he went up, froze in the air and then came down with the ball like a gymnastics performer….Hord is the real deal, if he goes up there is about a 99.9% chance that he is comnig down with that football….John Sessions also did a good job of catching the ball for NG…
Some other names we noticed on the day…..Simpson and Stimpson the Grimsley QB’s with Bruce Davis receiving and Caleb Williams receiving, plus Lance McMillian and Nyles Harris playing big on ‘D’ in the backfield…Christian Beal for East Forsyth out of the backfield and C.J. Freeman, from Northern Guilford out of the backfield and he was making some plays on defense too….#23 for NG very active on defense…
