Three Elon Football Games To Be Televised In CAA Football Package

ELON, N.C. – Three of Elon football’s games have been selected to be televised as a part of CAA Football’s 2015 television package. The Phoenix will have two games on the American Sports Network (ASN) and another on Comcast SportsNet (CSN).

The Phoenix’s games at New Hampshire and Stony Brook as well as a home game with William & Mary will be televised. Including Elon’s season opener at Wake Forest on Sept. 3 that will air on ESPN3, the maroon and gold will have a total of four televised contests.

The home schedule includes a non-league game with North Carolina A&T on Sept. 19 and CAA Football bouts with Towson (Sept. 26), James Madison (Oct. 17), William & Mary (Nov. 7) and Delaware (Nov. 21).

Elon’s second season as a CAA Football member kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 3 with a 7 p.m. game at Wake Forest. The following week, Elon will visit Gardner-Webb for a game on Sept. 12.

North Carolina A&T will represent the first opponent for Elon in Rhodes Stadium in 2015 as the Aggies visit on Sept. 19. At halftime of that game, the athletic department will recognize those inducted into the Elon Sports Hall of Fame.

The first CAA Football game of the year comes the next Saturday as Towson comes to town on Family Weekend.

Two road games then follow. On Oct. 3, Elon travels to New Hampshire for a 3:30 p.m. game that will air on ASN. The maroon and gold then heads to Richmond on Oct. 10 before coming home to face James Madison on Oct. 17. The JMU game will be Homecoming at Rhodes Stadium.

A Halloween visit to Stony Brook marks Elon’s next televised game. On Oct. 31, the Phoenix and Seawolves will kick at 12 p.m. on ASN.

The final televised game of the year comes on Nov. 7 when the Phoenix hosts William & Mary in a noon game on CSN.

Elon’s last two games of the year will come at Maine on Nov. 14 and at home against Delaware on Nov. 21.
