HiToms Fall in Double Digits On the Road

MCNAIR FIELD, NC, – On a cool night in Forest City North Carolina the Owls (10-19) dominated the HiToms (16-15) out scoring them 15-4.

The Owls controlled the game from start to finish plating fourteen runs to set the tone of the Independence weekend show down from the very beginning.

The Tommies showed signs of life in the top of the fifth inning with a Kody Ruedisili (Wofford) two run home run but it was too far out of reach. Jake Maziar (College of Charleston) singled plating two more runs but that was all the HiToms could muster up.

The HiToms are back home tomorrow night for a Fourth of July baseball game with fireworks following directly after. Then on Sunday more baseball and fireworks to finish off independence weekend with first pitch set for 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
