Report on today’s(7/7) 7 on 7 action at Western Guilford with Hornets hosting Ragsdale Tigers

Ragsdale at Western Guilford for today’s 7 on 7 passing game action workout and the teams went it for about an hour and forty minutes and it was fairly even…Lots of passing as always and lots of interceptions, as Western showed the ability to go up and get the picks and their receivers made some nice grabs too..

Top quarterback for Western Guilford per coach Chris Causey, QB Mikey Kennedy…Top two Hornet receivers are Ronak Bora and Khalil Barrino per Coach Causey and you can also add WR Michael Sibley into that mix…WG has a freshman that is working toward being their backup QB….

Ragsdale made some big plays and the Tigers are playing it with Mason Clement and Nathan Harmening as their quarterbacks stepping in after the Tigers lost two key components at QB, Alec Cobb and Tevin Quick off of last year’s squad…Clement and Harmening have seen time, but mainly on JV in the past and now it is time for them to step up and lead the Tigers’ varsity…

The top receivers for Ragsdale are Dominique Parker, the brother of T.J. Parker and Josh France…Ragsdale has a lot of work to do to replace T.J. Parker, Tevin Quick and Taylor Still at WR, but the younger Parker and France are ready to accept the challenge from Ragsdale coach Tommy Norwood….

Good workout for both teams today as they got in the passing, receiving and pass defense coverage reps and the rest of the week has the teams in action again….

On Wednesday:
WS Reynolds at Western Guilford 6pm 7 on 7
Ragsdale has an intrasquad 7 on 7 planned at home in Jamestown….Ragsdale will travel to Lee County to face coach Burton Cates and his club in 7 on 7 passing game drills on July 15 and that will be their last 7 on 7 matchup of the preseason…
