Salisbury, NC – Jake Moebius belted two, two-run home runs as the Post 87 HiToms eliminated Wilson Post 13 13-3 on Day 3 of the North Carolina State American Legion Baseball tournament.

The Post 87 HiToms jumped out to a commanding 6-0 lead in the bottom of the third on the strength of a two-run home run by Southern Guilford catcher Ryan Caveness. Wilson Post 13 answered in the top of the fifth with a three-run home run by Dejuan Sutton.

Following Wilson’s three runs in the top of the fifth, High Point starter Justin Olczak cruised as the former Wesleyan Christian star stymied the 13’s offense the rest of the way. For the game, Olczak tossed 8 innings while allowing just three hits and three runs.

With the win, the Post 87 HiToms advance to Monday afternoon’s elimination game at 1:00 p.m. versus the loser of the Rowan County/Hope Mills winner’s bracket contest.
