Patrick Callaghan’s three-run home run highlighted a five-run fifth inning for Greensboro, North Carolina, which beat Los Gatos, California, 6-3 in a Colt World Series semifinal at Loeb Stadium on Tuesday.

It was the first loss for the four-time defending champion Legends since the Lafayette All-Stars beat them in 2013.

Greensboro and Los Gatos now play at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Loeb Stadium. The winner plays Puerto Rico, which defeated Mexico 3-2 in Tuesday’s other semifinal, in the 7 p.m. championship.

Jacob Brown earned the complete-game victory for Greensboro, scattering five hits and five walks while striking out three.
