  1. Overton had two tds, Leake had 1, kid that wears #2 had two receiving and ran interception. Level blocked a punt recovered for a td.

  2. The only real surprise to me is the margin of Pages win. Normally Davie Co competes better. The Dudley vs Page game should be outstanding this year.

  3. #2 for Page would be Miles Faison and the Pirates did come out strong on offense…

Still a big surprise with Eastern over Southern like that…SG lost a ton in Reggie Gallaspy, but EG lost Jarius Morehead and several other key Wildcat players too from last year’s team…Lundy, Benton, Finnerty and more, so you have to know that Coach Robertson has done a great job bringing this year’s Wildcats back around…SG vs. Grimsley next week….Dudley at Ragsdale, Northern Guilford at Page and more on the way….

EG making a statement tonight that the ‘Cats will be in the middle of it all this year….

  4. Dudley was very balanced tonight! They had three running touchdowns and 3 passing touchdowns.. (Would have been 4 if a 75 yard pass from Hooker to Dematus Gilmore hadn’t been call back). Hooker was fantastic.. Threw for 220+ yards tonight and would have been close to 300 if not for the call back. And he didn’t play the fourth quarter. The Panthers looking good

  5. Hahaha…….If I’m not mistaken, R.J. Reynolds HAD the one of the longest losing streaks in the STATE!!!! Looks like the same old SWG…..Crummy defense, and an offense that can’t score when the game is on the line. Its kind of embarrassing to live in the Southwest community during football season. The JV team last season gave us hope. Absolutely embarrassing!!! I guess the only positive is the black helmets look great. Too bad they can’t play as good as they look. I don’t blame the kids….the JV coaching staff were able to get the kids to win, so its very apparent what the problem is. Just saying.

  6. You need to give Southwest Guilford some more time…Their QB Jaren Rainey will lead them to some victories this year/season…SWG will battle and Rainey will take them places, but it takes time…

The kid Cameron Cloud from Northwest Guilford must be the real deal….The kid(freshman) caught 2 TD passes Friday night from Jake Smith and Cloud was offered by UVA this past Sommer coming out of a UVA camp and the kid can play…Came NWG way from Alamance County, I’m thinking Western Alamance Middle School…

Lots of good young talent out here and good to hear that Hooker had a good/big game for Dudley tonight/Friday…The young man can play and lead….

  7. The QB is pretty good……too bad it takes more than a QB and a stud reciever. You have to play defense too Andy! that’s something Southwest has not been able to do in the past 4-5 years. SWG goes 3-8 this season.

  8. I had my numbers wrong last night, Overton had 1 td Leake had 2 Faison 2 plus the interception for 1 Level blocked and recovered 1 in the end zone and Gafford recovered a blocked punt for 1

  9. For Page the WS Journal had Faison with four TD’s and all in the first half..

They had Faison with two receiving(52 and 42 yards), plus Faison on an interception return and Faison with a recovery of a blocked punt for a TD….

  10. I just read the WS journal, yes they said Faison recovered a block punt ,but in the box score they got Gafford and Level recovering them.

  11. Andy, the normally reliable WS Journal got it wrong. Tank is right. Page’s Faison had big night with 3 TDs (2 receiving and 1 pick six); Leake with 2 rushing TDs; Overton with 1 receiving TD; Level with blocked punt and recovery for 1 TD; Gafford with recovery of blocked punt for 1 TD.
