HPU Men’s Cross Country Ranked 10th In Regional Poll

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men’s cross country team is ranked 10th in the USTFCCCA Southeast Region preseason poll, released Monday.

After finishing seventh in the final 2014 rankings, HPU checks in at No. 10 in the 2015 preseason edition. The Panthers are the top Big South team in the ledger.

HPU is ranked ahead of Duke (No. 11), William & Mary (No. 12), Appalachian State (No. 13), George Mason (No. 14) and Liberty (No. 15).

Virginia tops the regional poll, followed by Furman (No. 2) and North Carolina (No. 3).

High Point opens the 2015 season Friday (Sept. 4) at the Elon Invitational in Burlington, N.C. Wake Forest – ranked ninth in the Southeast region – will race in the event, along with host Elon and UNCG.
