College Football Today with the Gate City Soup Bowl featuring Guilford College vs. Greensboro College at Jamieson Stadium

Local college fans need to make the trek out to Jamieson Stadium tonight for I think Jeff Mills(N&R) will be the 19th Annual Gate City Soup Bowl with Guilford College vs. Greensboro College at 7pm on the Grimsley High School campus and inside the spacious and historic Jamieson Stadium…We could see some history tonight when the Quakers meet the Pride…Admission costs $5 or with just two cans of food you get in absolutely FREE…If you are in town stay in town for this one, if you are out-of-town get back in town in time for this one…You will watching the young man, Matt Pawlowski(Northwest Guilford High School) who may just be one of the top quarterbacks in NCAA DIII history…The kid has set all kinds of Guilford College and soon-to-be NCAA records and he is arguably the top NCAA DIII QB in the land today….Guilford College also has one of the nation’s top kicker/punters in Tyler Hunt, from Eastern Guilford High School…Both Pawlowski and Hunt received visits from NFL scouts at Guilford back in the Spring of 2015…Greensboro College has the Bridges Brothers(Ray and Herbie), along with Micah McMasters from local Southwest Guilford High School, plus both schools have several other local kids on roster as well and you need to get out and support these local talents…

Check out tonight’s game and bring an extra can of food for the Urban Ministry’s Food Bank…As you can tell, we wholeheartedly endorse this game and put a lot of stock in what the coaches and players are doing at these two local colleges…Coach Bill Young(Greensboro College) and Coach Chris Rusiewicz(Guilford College) lead their charges on to the turf, to kick off the 2015 season this evening….Game time is 7pm, so let’s get and hit that stadium hard tonight…
